The Stone Roses as they are known today were formed in 1987, by four Manchester Lads.

The group members were:

Ian Brown     ( Vocals )

John Squire  ( Guitar )

Mani             ( Bass )

Reni              ( Drums, Backing Vocals )

They were the most legendary band of the late 1980's. They revolutionised British pop. The Roses are regarded as one of the most influential bands of all time, they were the band that set the blueprint for British guitar pop in the nineties. Influencing, and opening the door for modern day bands such as Oasis, The Charlatans, The Verve Etc.

The band split, in Autumn 1996, but their legacy lives on, and British pop has been well and truly resurrected.

The band members are still producing music today, just in thier own directons.

Ian has released a solo album entitled 'Unfinshed Monkey Business'.

John formed the Seahorses in 1996, and produced an album called 'Do It Yourself', however, they have recently split.

Mani is playing bass with Primal Scream.

Reni's whereabouts are uncertain, so to are his musical activities, if any!!
